|Hancock Auxcomm Team was established in 2018 and is an ARRL Affiliated club.||
Welcome to the official website of the Hancock Auxcomm Team, or H.A.T. We are an auxiliary communications club with a focus on amateur radio. We serve Hancock County, located in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. We were formed in February of 2018 and are growing in numbers. We are an ARRL Affiliated Club. We participate in the annual ARRL Field Day event, which is held the 4th weekend in June.
Our club is devoted to continue the pursuit of amateur radio for the enjoyment of members and for the service to the community. We provide communications for parades, races, etc. If you are having such an event and would like our assistance please ask. We also work closely with the Hancock County EMA to provide emergency back up communications.
We are an ACTIVE club and hold events and training regularly. We try to cover topics of interest to those just starting out as well as advanced topics for veteran operators. Please see our Events Schedule page for current information.
Hancock AuxComm Team currently meets at 7 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. The Hancock AUXCOMM Team has begun a fund raising venture on-line. This is an on-line raffle to help us raise funds for our organization and new equipment that would allow us to train and deploy during emergency situations and provide critical communications and logistics.
We will raffle off a variety of items and products including amateur radio equipment, gift cards, grills and other exciting items. Drawings will be held live on Facebook within 48 hours following the sale of the final raffle chance. Most raffles will only have 200 chances increasing your odds to be one of the winners.
We use “Shift4Shop” eCommerce platform with payment processors that exceed industry standards to ensure a worry free experience.
Thank you in advance in helping our organization grow and improve our equipment and technology we can offer during times of crisis or wherever we may be requested to deploy. Please check back often for new and exciting raffle items.
